TO-MORROW'S ARRANGEMENTS.

The Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association's second seriee of matches in the second round of its senior championship will terminate _at the Domain to-morrow. In the principal game Green Lane, with 75 for the lo(« of three wickets, should have little difficulty in iefeating Mount Roskill, which was dismissed for 81 in its firs v - innings. Ponsonby, with seven wickets down for 46 in the game with R.V., is faced with l iifficulty task. R.V. compiled 201, Manukau the leading team, is in a good position to retain its unbeaten record. Manukau scored 119 for seven wickets in reply to Brixton's 112. Lower grade competitions will also be continued. At a special meeting of the Auckland Dity and Suburban Cricket Association ast evening, Mr. J. F. W. Dickson presiding, a protest was entered by the C.&.L. Jlub against the "termination of the third rrade series, of matches before the completion of the second round. It was intended that the C.S.L. team, in the position of runner-up to Waterworks, was still in a position to win. The protest was upheld, and the comnittee decided that matches that were to Je played by the two clubs mentioned will je counted as points in both competitions —that declared finished and the competi;ion which is to start on Saturday. The secretary reported having tendered the association's regrets to Mr. K. J. Rennie, president of the Bay of Plenty Cricket Association, on his recent loss by ire. The association had pleasant recollections of the hospitality accorded the representative team which stayed at Mr. Rennie's hotel at Tauranga during the Christmas tour. . . The C.S.L. Club was granted permission to send a team to Hamilton at Easter. W. H. Hooker, of Brixton, was regraded from senior to third gradeThe secretary, Mr. E. Stallworthy, reported that the English coach, L. I. Townsend, was shortly leaving the Dominion. Mr. Dickson referred to the lvalue of Mr. Townsend's services, and it was decided to present the coach with 3ome small memento of his connection with the association. The chairman said he regretted to notice that an article was published recently ••asting reflection on those responsible for the selection of the team to oppose the M.C.C. at Piafeo. The comments were unjustified, unfair and uncalled for, and lid not represent the views of the association.
