ARRESTS IN SHOP.
THREE MEN CHARGED. VIGILANCE OF DETECTIVES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Three men, Laurence James Nacey, 34, a chef, John Josepji Morris, 38, a ship's fireman, and William Murphy, 48, also a fireman, were charged in the Magistrate's Court to-day with breaking and entering the Ritz Beauty Shop in Manners Street on January 28 with intent to commit theft. A plea of guilty was entered on behalf of the first two, and not guilty on behalf of Murphy. The case arose from the vigilance of detectives, whose suspicions were aroused when driving past the shop in the small hours of January 28. The first two men were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence, and Murphy for trial. He was allowed 'bail conditionally on his reporting daily to the police. ■
