MORE WAGES ASKED.
CLEARING WASHOUTS. relief workers leave camp. (By Telegraph.—Special to ' Star. ) MASTERTON, this day. Twenty-six men who were in the Blairlogie relief camp, whose wages are 17/(3 plus keep, have asked for wages for clearing away wash-outs and slips caused by the week-end storm. The increase was refused by^the Mf 6 " terton County Council, and all but live men left camp this morning. The county clerk states that the 1 ue ®" tion of closing the Blairlogie camp would he considered at the next meeting of the council, because there was little work to be done. The Stronvar camp has 1 already been closed. He was getting into touch with the Unemployment Board on the matter.
