ROWING.
( AUCKLAND CLUB. It was quite evident that members of the Auckland Rowing Club have fully benefited by the training they have had for the season's reeafta racing, which will be commenced at the Hamilton regatta on Anniversary Day, and praise must be given to Mr. George Barrett, the coach, for turning out the crews. The club held a -trial fours race, for trophies presented by Mr. H. J. Pfister, over the usual course alongside the waterfront road, and three crews were boated. The result was one of the closest finishes seen for many years on the Waitemata Harbour, the judge (Mr. W. J. Hampton Reynolds) declaring Fisher's crew the winners by two feet from Oxspring's crew, with Marceau Half a length away third.
