SHEFFIELD SHIELD.
NEW SOUTH WALES V. VICTORIA. SYDNEY, January 26. In the Sheffield Shield cricket match commenced yesterday between \ ictoria and New South Wales, the latter made 323 for nine wickets in its first innings (Mudge 70, East on 50, Chilvers 36 not out). The players and umpires wore black armbands as a tribute to the memory of King George V.
