TE PUKE FAREWELL.
A party, comprising several members of the Methodist Ladies' Guild, paid a surprise visit to Mr. and Mrs. J. Hansen's residence, Te Puke, to bid them farewell before their departure for Tauranga. Mrs. Guy, president of the ladies' guild, on behalf of the members, naked Mrs. Hansen to accept a box of half a dozen stainless knives and a knife sharpener as a token of the esteem in ivhich she was held, at the same time expressing the guild's regret at her mpending departure. Mrs. Hansen hanked them "or their gifts and good vishes, and for the kind thought which n-ompted their visit. Among those pre- ! ient were: Mes dames Guy, Shepherd, ■ Andrews, Scott, Stewart, Wilkinson and I < hisses Shepherd and Bassett. i
