"ALIEN" DECAPITATED.

SNAKE INTENDED FOR ZOO. BOA CONSTRICTOR KILLED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. An undesirable alien, which was denied admission to New Zealand, a beautifully mottled sft • boa constrictor, which was brought all the way from Panama City aboard the 'Re-muera, is dead. In the •presence •of officials he was doped and decapitated before the Remuera left Wellington for Auckland." The big snake was the property of Mr, E. W. Scott, editor of a ' SpanishAmerican newspaper at Panama, who is on holiday in New Zealand. Mr. Scott said on his arrival that he desired to present the boa to the Wellington Zoo and "declared" the snake to Customs officials, but permission to take it ashore was not forthcoming.
