CLUB ROOMS IN CITY RAIDED. SECOND VISIT IN FIVE WEEKS: The second raid within five weeks was carried out by a party of police jiinder the direction "of Sub-Inspector D. Scott on a social club in the city last night, j Arriving a few minutes after 11 o'clock, Sub-Inspector Scott executed a search warrant and seized a quantity of liquor. No arrests were »made, but the names and addresses of nearly 50 persons on the premises were noted by the police. The police remained 011 the premises for 90 minutes, during which time a curious crowd gathered outside the; building. Dancing was being enjoyed when the men in blue entered. At the request of the sub-inspector, dancing was con- , tinued. very few of those present leav- ' ing for home before the police departed.
