KING'S GIFT TO BOY SCOUTS.
Tli'e King lias presented to the hoy scouts the electric button with wliieli lie ignited the Hyde Park beacon oir Jubilee Day. This beacon was the signal lire for the 1775 beacons which blazed throughout the British Isles. The button resembles an electric Den push, mounted on an oak base, and 1 will occupy an honoured place in 1 council chamber at Imperial lieadquar ters. Round the base is the followin inscription: —"Presented by Ivmg Georg V. to the boy scouts to commemorate the lighting of the bonfire in Hyde Park on May 6, 1935."
