ELAM SCHOOL WORK.

SPECIAL AWARDS MADE,

Prizes won by students at the El.ani School of Art were presented yesterday by the chairman of the board of managers, Mr. C. J. Tunkii.

Special prizes awarded by the Auckland Society of Arts were Drawing in any medium, Miss Rona Woods; oil painting, Miss Molly Bilkey and Miss Joan Lillicrap ; water colour painting, Miss Dorothy liew and Miss Rona Woods; black and white section, Arthur Thompson ; lettering, .Miss Ena Roscoe; sculpture, Miss Monna Malcolm.

Purchases by Auckland Art Gallery were made of a drawing of a head by Miss Kona Woods and a piece of lettering by Miss Valerie Lewis.
