EPSOM TRACK.

A QUIET MORNING

TWO SOUTHERNERS ARRIVE,

Heavy rain interfered with track work at Epsom this morning and very few fast workouts were recorded. The cinder and sand tracks were available, the former providing good going. Autumn Lu and Wee Machine (unlioppled) were associated over two miles. Soon after the start Wee Machine broke and galloped the rest of the journey. Autumn Lu trotted without mistake .to record 4.52, tjie last half-mile in 1.14. She went very freely throughout, but was stopping a little at the end.

Lucky Love and Gumdigger were, not strapped up, and ran home from the mile ! and a quarter post in 3.2. Nimbus (saddle) was allotted a mile, but did not have any speed on over the first bit, but ran the final four furlongs in 1.7 2-5. He is very well. Rey Spec, who arrived yesterday, was worked over several rounds at a sound pace and, sent along over the last halfmile, registered 1.8 3-5. He appears to have got through a solid preparation and may be worth following at the meeting. Agnes Bingen had plenty of pace on when she came to the mile post, and ran home in 2.13 4-5, the last half in 1.7 4-5. iHe paced in attractive style. Pink Lady ran a mile in 2.20, the last half in 1.9 1-5. She was not driven light out. , , , Bingen Palm bears a healthy appearance and was given about three miles at a 230 gait. He ran his last half in 1.10. 'Several other horses were given easy tasks, but were not asked for time.
