Acceptances for the first day of the Auckland Racing Club's summer meeting and final payments for the Great Northern Foal Stakes, Queen's Plate, Great Northern Derby and Royal Stakes are diie with the secretary, Mr. W. S. Spence, at 5 p.m. next Friday. Prince Ven was scratched for the Railway Handicap at 4.45 p.m. yesterday.
INQUIRER —Grey Honour was scratched . for the Railway Handicap at 9 a.m. on December 4. WAGER (Newton). —Silver Link only won the Railway Handicap once, and that was in 1921. ,In a. trotting race the limit horses cover the exact distance, and the others as many yards extra as . they are handicapped to concede.
