BULK ELECTRICITY.
POWER FOB NELSON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NELSON", Friday. "It is extremely gratifying that we have arrived at the conclusion of lengthy negotiations between the Waimea Electric Power Board and the Nelson City Council, and that both parties have now decided to sign an agreement for the supply of bulk electricity to the council," said the Mayor of Nelson, Mr. G. L. Page, to-day. "It is a most fortunate combination of circumstances that we should have a long, broad valley ideally situated for impounding a large quantity of water and providing a dam site almost immediately adjacent to a, steep fall into another valley of about 1700 feet."
