LOWER WAIKATO CONTESTS. The Lower Walkato Tennis Association's junior competitions were advanced a further stage when Ngaruawahia defeated Kainui by 10 sets to 0, Glen Massey defeated Taupiri South by 10 sets to 6, and Taupiri North beat Glen Afton by 9 sets to 7. MORRINSVILLE, ASSOCIATION. The Morrinsville Tennis Sub-Association will be represented in the first Walkato Banner match of the season against Lower AVaikato, on Saturday, by A. Reid, vv. Kerr, F. Connor, W. Watts, P. Clark, J. Cottingham, Misses L. Kirk, M. Arndt, E. Arndt, Mrs. Milburn, Misses N. Ryan and S. Hyndman. Reserves: W. Wearne and Miss j. Kerr. The opening matches of the local. competitions resulted: —Mangateparu No. 1 beat Tauhei by 15 rubbers to 1, Morrinsville No. 1 beat Whitikahu by 10 rubbers to 0, Kiwitahl beat Taharoa by 11 rubbers to 5.
