It was decided to make, application for affiliation to the New Zealand Council. The president said that had North Auckland been an affiliated body there would have been every chance of securing a match with the English team. It was reported that the Rodney and Whangarei Unions had nominated players for inclusion in Mr. E. C. Beale's New Zealand team to visit Fiji. Rodney entered a challenge to Whangarei for the Dargaville Shield on January 28 and 29.
