ONEHUNGA COUNCIL.
The meeting of the Onehunga Borough Council held last nighty was presided over by the Mayor, Mr. J. Park. Gloucester Park.—The acting-foreman was instructed to prepare an estimate of the' cost of opening a drain on the eastern side o£ the area on the eastern side of the racing track in Gloucester Park for a distance of 100 ft and that, after consulting Mr. A. Greville Walker, he is to submit an estimate, of the cost of dressing the corner near the filled in portion of the track with mud shell 2in deep for a width of 30ft. The Gloucester Cycle Club is to have the use of a council truck to assist in putting their track in order. Disinterment of Body.—The town clerk was authorised to give effect to a permit issued -by the Minister of Health for the disinterment of a body unless he receives an injunction to desist in the meantime. Clean-up Week. —Commencing on Wednesday, December 4, a clean-up week will be held throughout the whole borough, ratepayers to be notified by advertisement in the "Star." The tender of Messrs. McCarten Bros, at £4 10/ per day for the hire of a 3-4-ton truck with a driver axA two. extra men was accepted.
