SCOTS HALL SOLD.
SYMONDS STREET BUILDING. FURNISHING FIRM'S PURCHASE. Scots Hall in Upper Symond Street has been purchased by the firm of Smith and Brown, Ltd., furnishers, and after alterations have been made to the front for window displays, the building will be used as a warehouse. Scots Hall was owned by the Mennie Estate and has been largely used for concerts and It was built by the late Mr. J. M. Mennie and originally it was intended for the use of St. Andrew's Society. Because of its central situation the building has been in constant demand for entertainments.
The price of the sale lias not been disclosed.
