CONSCRIPT ARMY.
GERMAN STRENGTH 500,000. (Received 9.30 a.m.) BERLIN, November 3. Conscription in Germany came officially into force on Friday. The railway stations were crowded with recruits born in 191*4. The maximum contempfated strength of the standing army is 30 divisions, totalling 500,000 soldiers. The quarters in the new barracks are superior to those existing in the days of conserip-1 tiou before the war. '
