ETERNAL HATRED.

ITALY FOR ENEMIES. Amazing Talk to Americans by Duce's Son-in-Law. MARCONI ALSO APPEALS. United Press Association.—Copyrig-ht. (Received 11.30 a.m.) ASMARA (Eritrea), November 3. Count Ciano, Signor Mussolini's son-in-law, and an Air Force officer, gave an extraordinary broadcast address to America. He declared: "The troops advance and Italian people are hourly brought closer together by rallies to the sacred person of the Duce. The sanctions which the League voted in madness will be borne with determination and heroism unparalleled in the history of mankind. Those responsible for sanctions no longer will be able to enjoy citizenship of the civilised world.

"The eternal hatred of Italy will be directed against them. Our hatred is unforgiving. History has shown that Italy can give precious friendship but fatal enmity." Senatoro Marconi In a broadcast speech to America appealed to the American people to recognise the justice of the Italian cause. He emphasised the danger of sanctions and the world economic disorders they would inevitably produce, while they could not deflect Italy from her course.

ABYSSINIA'S PLEA. APPEAL TO LEAGUE FOR FUNDS GENEVA, November 3. The Abyssinian Government has sent a Note to the League appealing for financial assistance. It recalls the fact that the Assembly in 1030 approved the draft of an international convention for members of the League to assist a co-member in the event of a threat of war.
