L.C.C. HOUSING SURVEY.
INSPECTION OF DWELLINGS. British Official Wireless. (Received 9.30 a.m.) RUGBY, November 1. The first stage of a survey in the urea : of the London County Council under the Housing Act will be begun today, and is expected to take six weeks to com: plete. Between 000,000 and 700,000 bouses must be visited and particulars taken of the number of rooms and occupants. In the second stage of the survey, doubtful eases will be re-examined and the dimensions of rooms ascertained where necessary. The temporary staff of enumerators, survey assistants and clerks engaged for the big task numbers 1300.
