"SHE MARRIED HER BOSS."
CLAUDETTE COLBERT'S NEXT. Claudette Colbert .made "It Happened One Night" and received the Academy's chief award as the best screen actress of the year. She is under contract to make one picture a year for the company, and work has now begun on her current film, entitled "She Married Her Boss." This film, the result of the collaboration of two ' leading scenarists—Jo. Swerling and .Sidney Buchman—is confidently expected to rank as a worthy successor to "It Happened One Night." Gregory La Cava has been specially engaged to direct it. As leading man, a surprise assignment is that of Michael Bartlett. His engagement for this much coveted role is the result of a debut as one of Grace Moore's three leading men in her picture, "Love Me Forever."
Michael Bartlett is now under a longterm contract. He made his first appearance on the Broadway stage in the musical version of "Smilin' Through," and in addition to his acting ability he is equally famous as an* operatic and musical comedy tenor, both in Europe and America.
