WEST INDIES' TROUBLES.
Cabled advice has been received to the effect that native riots are taking place at Kingstown, St. Vincent Island, in the British "West. Indies. Troublous times seem- indicated unless some arrangements may be arrived at between the the Government , administrators.. Stores have been looted, Government officials' cars wrecked and all business suspended. The trouble, it would seem, has to do with workmen's problems, and in this connection-the administrator has promised to receive deputations on the questions of minimum wages, workmen's compensation and Customs duties. In this way it is hoped to ward off a situation which might prove to be serious in the extreme.
