RUGBY APPRECIATION.
Mr. Jolui Allen, president of the Franklin Rugby Sub-union, writes:— "The Auckland Rugby colts' team sent uown to Onewhero was a strong one and made our boys play as they have never done before. The standard of Rugby displayed was high and kept the spectators* on tip-toe to the end —and longing for more. This match has done more for Rugby in our district than has anything else during the past several seasons. Rugby such as ■ Saturday's would soon win back the support of the football public. Gate takings were double the usual, and will leave a little surplus when expenses have been paid. At the dinner afterwards I expressed my appreciation of the game, and to Mr. Arthur Paull I extended my congratulations on the conduct of his team, both on and off the field. I have never been associated with a better conducted crowd of players."
