ON 'CHANGE.
WEEK FINISHES WELL MARKET TONE STEADY. There was a fairly good finish to the ■week. A big list of sales was finalised at the last call yesterday, and a fair list was added this morning. Bidding at the call was steady, with most values well maintained. In the banking section Ecserves seemed stronger, with buyers at £6, and no sellers. Gas shares were easier, with sellers of the ordinary at £1 0/ and of the contributing at 19/6, with no buyers in cither case. Abraham and Williams' preference shares were again offered at £4 5/, and a buyer came in at £3 IS/. Kauri Timbers responded to the dividend announcement, and offers to buy at £1 2/6 failed to bring any response from holders. Government stocks were firmly held. There were buyers for ah issues and no sellers.
