GISBORNE, Tuesday.

Despite the strong wind thaj. prevailed, favourable conditions obtained at the Park course this morning, when active training work was continued in preparation lor this week's racing. Good Hunting ran five furlongs in 1.3, being picked up by Black Thread over the concluding stages. Kahunoke went two strong rounds and Alby ran a mile in 1.48, being picked" up by Summer Hill over the last five furlongs. Quake ran five.furlongs in 1.3, and Mahala ran six furlongs in 1.18 from a standing start. John Charles ran home from the three-furlong post, hitting out well. . The Brusher went a strong round, and Quaint went two rounds on the plough at half-pace. Hunting Morn also went a round at half-pace. The Cockpit filly ran down the straight, hitting out attractively. Ruinette and Pennycomequick ran four: furlongs in 50 4-ss, finishing on terms. Acranna ran four furlongs in 49 3-ss. Minnow, Ace Willonyx and Gay Hunter finished in that order over four furlongs in 495. Vulpes went a mile at three-quarter ; paice.
