TRACK GALLOPS.

TE AWAMUTU TRIALS. RAIN INTERFERES WITH WORK. There was very little doing in the way of fast work at Te Awamutu yesterday morning. What was done was carried out under very difficult conditions, all tracks being for the most part under water. The only horses to gallop were the Cainbridge candidates, for which the hurdle track, the reverse way, and the course proper, on the extreme outside, were available.

On the hurdle track Cylarros (Home) and Karohia (Goulsbro) were sent over four furlongs, taking 535. They were on terms at the finish. Cylarros was not ac home in the heavy going. Karohia worked, well.

On the outside of the course proper, Solomon (Home) came home from the five-furlong post in 1.10. He was hitting out nicely. Astarth and Coronis were at the tracks, but were not worked. It has not yet been decided which races these horses will contest.

Doing pace work were Lady Ruler, Jonathan, Galilee, Torch, Namakia, Gallio, Stretto, Superior Guard, Eager Rose, Arawa Rose, Musquil and Loombination. Fast Acre and Tuaheahe were worked on the sand road.
