PLAYHOUSE PLAYERS.
The weekly play reading by the Playhouse Players was held on Monday evening at the studios in Tabernacle Buildings. Members of the club were first entertained by John Court's Play Club, who gave an amusing presentation of "Five Birds in a Cage," by Gertrude Jennings. The play was produced by Mr. A. W. McSkimming, the cast being Misses Holley, O. Gary, and Slessrs, M. Clarke, R. Ross, and R. Walton. A reading of John Van Druten's play, "Behold We Live" followed. The cast included: Misses Dorothy Joynt, Roma Warbrick, Peggy Beaumont, Betty Birch, Joyce Smith, and Messrs. Neville Ward, Mick Orr, Murray McNair, and J. W. Bailey. The studio was well filled with club members and friends.
