SUNDAY ISLAND MAIL.
• PER YACHT NGATAKI. "NO STAMPS AVAILABLE." A letter was received at the "Star" Office this morning from Sunday Island endorsed by rubber stamp, "Sunday Island Mail—No Stamps Available— per Yacht Ngataki." This is the first letter sent from Sunday Island since Messrs. A. Bacon, B. Robinson and R. Randell settled there four months ago. They are reported to be well and enjoying the life, the weather being perfect since their a'rrival. The letter was carried by the Ngataki to Tahiti, where the yacht arrived on September 17, after a run of 28 days, including a call of three days at Rurutu Island in the Austral group (French), where only one man could speak English. Five days later tne yaclit made Tahiti and the crew were well received. From Tahiti they propose to visit Moorea, Raitea, Bora Bora, Palmerston Island, Niue and Vavau, and may be back in Auckland by Christmas.
