OTUNUI TRAGEDY.
OPENING OF INQUEST. FORMAL EVIDENCE ONLY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, this day. An inquest was opened to-day on the victims of the Otunui tragedy before tho coroner, Mr. A. S. Laird. Anthony Joseph Dean, father of tlie younger victim, identified the bodies and described finding them on tlie river bankafter a long search. Ho said that Robson's Maori name was Ilori Hoia Rapihana, and that he was a brother of witness' wife. The inquest was adjourned. Two boys, one aged six, and the other 14, were found dead near the bank of a river on Sunday afternoon. A gun was found beside the elder boy.
