GOLF AT WHANGAREI.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. Mrs. Sheen was the winner of the second round of the Spalding Cup contest played by members of the Wliau Valley Golf Club over the week-end. She returned a card of 2 up. Next was Miss Rishworth, 1 up, and then came Miss Scarfe, Miss Steele and Mrs. Younger, 3 down. • During the week-end a team of golfers front the Waipu Club visited the Wliuu Valley Club. The home side won by one match. Results, (Waipu names first): — D. McKay beat Henrickson, 5 and 4; Dingle lost to Kokich, 3 and 1; A. Brook lost to Renten, 4 and 2; Bestie beat Georgeson, 3 and 1; J. C. McKay lost to F. Holloway, 1 up; E. McKay and Kay, all square; J. M. McKay lost to Moffatt, 3 and I; Rees and Dunning, all square; Ardfelt beat Delugar, 3 and 2; D. 11. McKay and Bestie beat Wilson and Georgeson, 1 up; Dingle and Brook lost to Kokich and Renten, 2 up; J. C. McKay and E. McKay beat Holloway and Kay, 2 up; J. McKay and Rees and Dunning and Moffatt, all square; Ardfelt and .Mclvor beat Delugar and Franks, 4 and 2.
