REFUSED TO LEAVE.
ITALIAN LEGATION SCENE. (Received 12 noon.) ADDIS ABABA, October 13. The Sun-Herald correspondent, Mr. Noel Monks, says a sensation was caused by the Italian Minister, Count Vinci, refusing to obey the Emperor's order to leave with the members of the Legation in a special train yesterday. After the train had waited at the station four hours with all the members of the Legation except the Minister on board the Kmperor ordered its departure. The Legation secretary, Count do Grenet, leapt off the train and made a dash for the exit, but was forced to return at the point of a revolver. Count Vinci's excuse was that the overdue Consul from Magalo is an army oflicer and it was impossible to leave without him. However, after the issue of an ultimatum by the Emperor, Count Vinci left the Legation late in the day in the custody of Kas Desta and was escorted to his house by a section of the Horse Guards. He was to have left by special train this morning. Mr. Noel Monks, the Sun-Iferald news service representative, states that Count Vinci is being held a close prisoner since he refused to leave. Colonel Calderinini, military attache, who also refused to leave, is with Count Vinci.
