Rubber received a fillip from the Dutch Governments announcement Hint it was purchasing export licenses for 20,000 ions from East India growers, Indicating that Holland intends to enforce restriction as far as possible. ' The copper restrictions are anxious and measures will probably be taken to increase production and check rises. Lead is in a healthier position, the price having touched the highest level since 1030. More normal rises were secured in the iron and steel industries through consumption by the retail trades. Tea and textiles alone were a disappointment.
