MUSICAL COMEDY.
MADGE ELLIOTT IN "OUR MISS GIBBS." Madge Elliott and Cyril Ritchard and the J. C. Williamson musical comedy company are presenting the delightful musical comedy "High Jinks" for the la>st time at His Majesty's Theatre to-night. To-morrow night the company begins a season of five nights and two matinetM with "Our Miss Gibbs." The management have expressed their regret that the company's season in Auckland has been restricted to such a limited period, but emphasise that their stay cannot be pielonged. "Our Miss Gibbs - ' is a musical play of rippling melody and spectacular dance scenas and achieved extraordinaiy success when the company revived it in Sydney and Melbourne. Again Madge Elliott and Cyril Ritchard take the leading roles and add much to their triumphs by their delightful performances in this play. "Our Miss Gibbs'' probably has the strongest cast ever seen on the New Zealand stage. It introduces to the Dominion a well-known English comedian. Freddie Foss. who takes the part of Timothy Gibbs. He carries over the bubbling humour of the play in a mast side-splitting manner. -Among the supporting players arc Leslie Crane, tuo talented young Auckland actress. Leu Franklyn. Diana du Cane, Frank Leighlon and Marie le Yarre.
