WOULD YOU LIKE TO PAY OUT MORE IN TAXES? One of the many items ill prohibition's crippling bill of costs would be the annual loss of over £1,350,000 (Customs and Excise duties), voluntarily contributed revenue. This money would have to be replaced my new taxes. Another is the loss of wages directly paid by hotels, breweries and wine and spirit merchants, amounting each year to over £1,650,000. Wages would also be lost in allied industries. More new taxes would be required for a great newarmy of unemployed. That is not all. Another £500,000 would be required for hopeless enforcement measures. Still more taxes would be Necessary to provide this money. Altogether well over £3,000,000 annually to be raised by new taxes. What a prospect! You want taxes reduced, not increased. Vote Continuance and keep taxes down. Strike out the two bottom lines. —UVd.').
