DESTROYED BY FIRE.
. NORTHERN BOARDINGHOUSE. PART OF BUILDING USED AS P. 0., (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, this day. A boardinghouse of about 20 rooms at Pukehuia, conducted by Mr. Olotworthy, was totally destroyed i by fire yesterday. An_ outbreak of fire occurred on the premises early on Saturday evening, arid it was thought.that it had been suppressed. The fire, however, broke out again early yesterday Inorfniig, and the building was completely destroyed. The building included the post office. Official records which were locked in a eufe were charred, but are still recognisable. Letters and newspapers were a total loss. At the time of the fire Mr. Clotworthy was absent in Whangarei, where his wife has been in hospital. Mrs. Clotworthy was,to have returned to her home yesterday.
