WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawliia and Hamilton: — Light to moderate southerly winds, later becoming variable. Weather fine, with cool night but mild day temperatures. Seas smooth to moderate. An intense anti-cyclone covers New Zealand, its central portion extending from the north Tasman Sea on to the North Island. A slight depression is crossing the south Tasman. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, south, moderate to fresh; sea, moderate; weather, cloudy and fine with haze; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
