KENTISH ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL DANCE HELD. The Fabian Club rooms were artistically decorated with large bowls of Iceland poppies and arum lilies last Wednesday evening when the members of the Auckland branch of the Association of Alen of Kent and Kentish Alen held its annual dance. The guests were received on arrival by Airs. W. J. Lane, wife of the president, and Airs. F. Webster. Air. G. Baker acted as master of ceremonies, assisted by Air. E. Fraser. Competition dances were won by Airs. H. R. Parker, Air. A. Farrell and Airs. J. Hubber and partner. Bright music was rendered by the Imperial Alelody Players, dancing concluding at midnight.

The ladies of the committee were: Airs. W. J. Lane, who wore a tunic frock of Chinese lacquer red with silver girdle; Mrs. F. Webster, chartreuse green satin with shoulder spray of mauve tinted stock; Airs. S. E. Langstone, trained frock of black crepe matelasse with diamante relief; Airs. H. W. Robinson, blue floral satin; Mrs. J. AV. Jenks, willow green pebble crepe with silver lame; Airs. E. Fraser, coral pink suede crepe relieved with diamante; Mrs. A. Alaney, black satin and gold lame.
