NURSES’ ASSOCIATION.
/A very enjoyable programme was presented at the Nurses’ Club, Mountain Road, on Wednesday evening. Mrs. Moses acted as hostess. Humorous sketches were presented by Miss Jean Douglas, and the play, “The Lady With the Lamp,” was read by members, those taking part being Mesdams Haresnape. Norman Pollock, Arthur Cranwell, Roberts, Misses Bentham (convener), Hawken, Hood, Corson, Lowes, Rawlins.
METHODIST GIRLS’ CLUB.
A successful entertainment was given to a large audience by the Dominion Road Methodist Girls’ Club, when the musical operetta ‘’Princess Chrysanthemum” was presented. The principal parts were played by the' following: — Princess Chrysanthemum. Alma Bain; Emperor, Olive Cary: Top-not, Lorna Whitehead: Prince So-True, Enid Paris; Prince So-Sli, Lucy Craig; Fairy Moonbeam, Sylvia Paris; Saucer-eyes (th<> cat), Gwen Higgott; Tulip, Joyce Voeman. The members of the junior club took the parts of sprites and fairies. Orchestral music was led by Mr. Keith Smith.
