Loch Marce is the largest and most beautiful of the lochs in Koss and Cro-1 marty. Over 12 miles in length, it con- , tains a numbeer of islands. Formerly it was called Loch Ewe. It derived its present name from the island Eilcan Ma-rui bhe, which contained a chapel named after Maol ruibhe, the founder ! of the monastery of Applecroaa.
