CAPE YORK IN PORT.

MARIPOSA IN THE MORNING.

1 The Cape York, 5027 tons, of the Lyle Shipping Company, Glasgow,' under charter to the Union Company, arrived . shortly before 8 p.m. yesterday from Pacific Coast ports-and, Rarotonga. She loaded newsprint at Ocean Falls and Powell River and general cargo at \mcouver and Los Angeles. She brought 29 pedigree cattle from Los Angeles, eleven being for Auckland and the balance foi , Wellington. They arc in good condition. The ship met fresh sou'-easterly weather for the past ten days, which eased up as she neared port. Captain J. H. Thompson is in command. Tomatoes and coconuts were shipped at Cook Islands. She goes on to Wellington tomorrow afternoon. The Mariposa will arrive at 0.30 a.m. to-morrow from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Pago Pago and Suva,' berthing at seven o'clock at the Prince's wharf. She has 330 through passengers and lands 113 here. One hundrtffl and seventy will join her for Sydney and Melbourne, for which ports she sails at 9 p.m. Rangitane, which left Auckland last Friday morning with 170 passengers and a full cargo for London, radios that she has experienced moderate weather and reports "All well." (N.Z.S. Co.) Mataroa is due from Gisborne oil Saturday mofning to complete loading. She sails from here at 5 p.m. next Friday for Southampton and London. (L.D.N.) ' Port Bowen, which is loading for Lqndon at the Queen's wharf, will leave for Wellington at noon oil Saturday to complete. She leaves Wellington next Thursday for London. (Farmers' Co-op.) Kartigi arrived from Melbourne and South Australian ports this morning and is discharging at the Queen's wharf. She leaves to-night for Portland a<nd Southern ports to complete discharge. (U.S.S. Co.) Australind will complete discharging her cargo from New York at the King's wharf and leave this afternoon for Wellington. (N.Z.S. Co.) Tongariro is due from Opua at seven o'clock this evening. She will berth at the Central wharf and start final loading in the morning. She sails for London on October 1(5. (N.Z.S. Co.) i Waipahi will go into dock in. the morning, coming out on Friday. She is due to sail for Suva at 11 a.m. on Saturday to load fruit for Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.) i Wingatui leaves to-morrow afternoon on her regular run to Wellington and South Island ports. (U.S'.S. Co.) Kaimiro is still in dock and comes out to-morrow morning. She sails 111 the afternoon for Melbourne, via Greymouth. (U.S.S. Co.) Monowai arrives to-morrow at Vancouver from Auckland. THE BRISBANE SIARU. The Brisbane Muru was due to leave Japan yesterday for Australia, Wellington and Auckland. She is due at Auckland about November 10. THE TAIXUI. The Shaw, Suvill and Albion liner Tainui will leave Southampton to-morrow with passengers and mail and cargo from London for discharge at Wellington and Auckland. She is due here about November 10. INNAREN FROM ■ PACIFIC COAST. Spedding, Limited, has received advice that the Swedish motor ship Innaren is now scheduled to arrive from Pacific Coast ports about October 24. THE JAMES COOK. The James Cook is reported to have l:ft Newcastle, on Tuesday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Uunedin, Auckland, Wanganui and Greynioutli. She is due at Wellington on Sunday. MA RAMA'S TRANSHIPMENTS. The Maraina, which arrived from Sydney on Tuesday, brought transhipments by the following vessels: —Westralia, Taranaki, Talune, Mildura.
