ROADING LOANS.
HAURAKI PLAINS COUNCIL CONVERSION PROPOSALS. (By Telegrapli—Own correspondent.) THAMES, Wednesday. At a special meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council yesterday, at which Mr. C. W. Parfitt presided, the following resolution was carried by 0 votes to 1:— "That the council convert its roadiug loans in the ridings and levy security rates according to the present incidence over the ridings, and, if this course is impracticable or unacceptable to the Loans Board, that tiie council conveit its roading, bridging and housing loans into one consolidated loan on a differential rating basis, as scheduled by the clerk and amended as follows: Kopuarahl Riding 2.1(1. Turua 3d, Horahia 2.1<1, Kerepeehi 2.1 d. Xetherton 2.75 d. tonga 2.1(1, Ngatea '2.1(1, Pipiroa 2.1(1, Waitakaruiu 2.1 d."
The chairman and Messrs. W. McDuff, F. Pinchess, W. E. Hale and G. McClean yoted for tile motion, and Mr. J. against. Messrs. Fisher and Madgwick did not yote.
