SHOCKING DOUBLE CRIME REVEALED
CLUELESS MURDER.
Remains of Man and Woman Fearfully Mutilated.
IN 30 NEWSPAPER PARCELS. United I'ress Association. —Copyright. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, September 30. Further search, only ending with dusk, resulted in the discovery of 30 newspaper parcels containing portions of human bodies. Doctors report that the parts recovered indicate the remains of a man between 55 and 60, and a woman of about 30. The bodies were so mutilated as to make identification almost impossible. The man's fingers were cut off at the knuckles, and the ears of both victims were severed. Skin from the woman's torso and the man's face had been removed by a sharp instrument resembling a scalpel. The male remains were more decomposed than those of the female. The absence of clues recalls the Brighton trunk crime No. 1, and even the manner of death could not be discovered.
Doctors are of opinion that the mutilations were the work of a madman.
