SAFETY FIRST.
MOTOR UiaON'S PLAN.
The ambitious national "safety first" scheme discussed and adopted by the North Island Motor Union last month received the support of affiliated associations at the recent annual meeting of the South Island Motor Union. The N.I.M.U. hopes to secure the cooperation of insurance companies and other interested organisations in the formulating of a programme for a ten years' campaign to educate, and to secure better understanding among, all classes of road users, pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. The Government will be asked to subsidise the campaign.
