WEST END CLUB. The annual meeting of tho West End Rowing Club was held in tlie clubhouse, St. Mary's Bay, last evening. Mr. A. M. Paterson presided over an attendance of over 50 members. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. A. M. Paterson ; president, Mr. A. C. Norden : vice-presidents, as last year, with the addition of Mr. A. .Tonc.s; captain, Mr. L. It. Macdonald ; deputy-captain, Sir. E. A. Crales; assistant deputy-captain, Mr. It. Gray; hon. secretary, Mr. J. D. Craies; assistant hon. secretary, Mr. D. J. Macpherson; hon. treasurer, Mr. R. W. Rowe; executive committee, Messrs. C. T. Lambie, J. L. Jonos, L>. G. Stotter, C. G. Herdman, C. T. Eangliam: hon. auditors, Messrs. J. C. Gulliver, S. J. Huston; hon. solicitor, Mr. 1,. Phiitipps; delegates to Auckland Association. Messrs. D. G. Stotter, ,T. C. Aitkin, C. G. Herdman ; selection committee, Messrs. L. R. Macdonald, L. T. Lambie, J. D. Craies. In recommending the nominations to a life membership of tlie retiring secretary, Mr. C. G. Herdman, Mr. J. H. Davey paid a tribute to the sterling services rendered the club by Mr. Herdman. Several other members niso spoke of the untiring efforts mado on behalf of the club by Mr. Herdman, who was later accorded a hearty ovation. Mr. D. G. Stotter, tlie retiring captain, also was mentioned for services rendered during his term of office.

A letter was read from Mr. A. C. Norden, the president, who is now in England, with reference to his visits and experiences among the different rowing clubs in England.

A discussion on matters of general club interest followed, and it was recommended to tlie incoming executive that the club's plant be rigged on tlie more popular side — tlir. port side. A successful moetlng terminated with tlie vote of thanks to the ladles, hon. auditors, hon. solicitor and the Press.
