STABLE AND TRACK NOTES
F. DAVIS' TEAM. Since tlie Avondalc Jockcy Club's spring meeting the YVoodvillc trainer F. Davis has remained with his team at Avondalc, but he intends to bring them to lSUerslie towards the end of the week. ARRIVALS. Arrivals over the week-end at Ellerslic include L'apclla Abbey, I'uccini and Alantus, who have been brought up from Gisborne in charge of P. Wormald. The first-named pair are to be schooled over the steeplechase fences at Ellcrslie on Thursday. GAY BLONDE DISAPPOINTS. Gay Blontle was the big disappointment in the Camellia Stakes at Rosehill on September 21 (says a Sydney writer). She was inclined to be uneasy in the betting, but there was evidence that the Now Zealand division had faith in her prospects. After the first two furlongs she lost her forward position and drifted back to an obscure place. From then on she did not impress to the slightest degree, and down the straight made up very little ground. It was form much below that of the Tramway Handicap, and if she can do no better on Epsom day her chances cannot be regarded as bright. IN A HAPPY POSITION. D. Jlunro is in a very favourable position for the important three-year-old races (says a Sydney exchange). Ho has won the Hobartyille Stakes and Canterbury and Koschill Guineas on Hadrian, and has tile Cau 1 field Guineas in the immediate offing on the same colt. In the meantime, in the Derby at Kandwick lie has the mount on Allunga, probably the most solid ot the Sydney colts, and certainly the most promising stayer. If the three-year-old classic at Kandwick on Saturday is run at a fast pace from start to finish, and not turned into a sevenfurlong canter and a five-furlong sprint, Allunga might easily be a troublesome opponent for Young Idea.
