AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
liYNNDALE CLUB. SEASON'S ACTIVITIES REVIEWED. The Dynndale Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club held its annual general meeting at Avondale on Thursday last. The annual report stated that the club had just concluded its most successful season to date. On the track It had scored a decisive win in the B grade section of the scratch racing competition conducted by the Auckland Centre and was runner-up to the Old Grammarians Club in the A grade. The Ladles' Club secured second placo jn the Auckland provincial ladies' relay championship. From the ranks of the cycling section a practically unknown cyclist, Colin Gooder, had jumped into prominence. Gooder was runner-up in three Auckland provincial championships and held a similar position in the Dominion unpaced kilometre championship. The harrier section retained the harrier championship for the third year in succession. It also secured a surprise victory in the Auckland provincial cross-country championship. The cliib champion, W. Briggs, was a member of the Auckland team which this year won the New Zealand cross-country championship. The balance-sheet showed that the finances of the club were in a. very sound position.
