ROUND TABLE CLUB.
The Auckland Business and Professional Women's Round Table Club held its fortnghtly dinner last evening in the Cottage tearooms, Shortland Street, at which there was a large attendance of members and friends. The president, Miss L. Langsford, introduced the speaker for the evening, Mrs. F. J. Hutchinson, who had been a delegate to the Dominion Conference of the National Council of Women, held recently at Dunedin. In her opening remarks Mrs. Hutchinson explained the objects and policy of the. National Council and gave an interesting account of proceedings at the conference. "One of the avowed objects of this international movement," said the speaker, "was to form a link with the women of other countries, and through the council a wonderful collection of tabulated information as to conditions in other lands had been acquired." The remits and business handled at the conference were the basis of a very interesting address. At the conclusion Mrs. Hutchinson was accorded a vote of thanks, proposed by Miss A. Wiltshire.
