HAPPIER MARRIAGES.
BRITISH ADMIRALTY AIM. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDOX, September 29. Happier naval marriages is the aim of the Admiralty, which is establishing a welfare and marriage allowance section at Portsmouth, Devonport and Chatham under ■ feminine supervision. Fleet orders instruct commanders immediately to institute any essential inquiries into seamen's families, enabling them to deal with domestic troubles such as a wile * dillicultv with rent when her husband is abroad. The system stabilises the work thus done unofficially.
