LABOUR AND THE TRANSPORT BOARD.
In reply to your correspondent Mr. F. Lark, I incidentally voted for liiiu and his associates, or the majority of tliem, at tlio recent municipal election. It is no use denying tlie fact that the reactionary policy of the Labour party, especially in its relationship to the Transport Board, is not adding prestiga to the party. Pledges have not been fulfilled, such as the restoration of ffll wage-cuts, tlio 40-hour week, the readjustment of all salaries on a more equitable basis and the re introduction of Id tram fares. In conclusion, then, in spite of the fact that the Transport Board is under the jurisdiction of the Labour party, the policy adopted mo far is contrary to tlio election promises and reflects retrogression. HAKKY WOODKUFFE.
