NEW OFFICERS ELECTED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The annual conference of the New Zealand Journalists' Association took place in Wellington on Saturday, the ur metropolitan centras beiii"- fully represented. A motion by the Christchurch branch to make alterations in constitution of the council of the association was successful rf» 0r ,? f tho " New Zealand vnr n, ' K C " Franklin, I repenting on the first six months of its I publication, stated that it had made gratifying progress, and indications were that it was already standing on its own feet financially. The chairman advised that the jud<rin°- !? f tlle annual competition for the <?ood journalism prizes would shortly be completed, and the results would be announced by the council from Auckland. Next year's conference will be held iii Wellington. The election of officers resulted:— Piesident, Mr. A. F. Grace; vice-presi-dent, Air. E. 0. Franklin; lion, secretary, M. G. L. Stanbrook; hon. treasurer, Mr. T. Clarkson; hon. auditors, Messrs. D. B. Berry, and S. R. Hutchinson; trustees, Messrs. A. F. Grace and G. F. Inglis.
